Need for new fields in Indonesia spurs demand for Oil & Gas exploration equipment
Indonesia has some of the largest natural gas resources in the Asia Pacific Region with an estimated resource of 335 trillion cubic feet available. Natural maturation of producing oil fields with slower reserve replacement rate and decreased exploration and investment contributed to Indonesia’s crude oil production decline for the past decade. The need of new fields to increase oil production also serves as opportunities for oil and gas vendors to offer their products and services.
Indonesia’s Status As One Of Asia’s Largest Oil & Gas Producer
Indonesia is ranked as one of the largest Oil & Gas producers in Asia and holds the record as the world’s largest exporter of LNG gas and for being home to the second largest LNG facility (Managed by PT Badak) in the world. It also holds one of the largest CBM reserves with a potential 453 trillion cubic feet (“Tcf”), and ranks eighth in the international gas production arena.
