This program is conceptualized for faculty and research scholars in business, social sciences, humanities and other discipline to introduce the most popular multi-variate analysis technique Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The program is focused on mastering the technique through hands-on exercises and examples.

Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)

Hypothesis testing becomes complex if the number of equations or variables become large or if the research framework requires multiple interrelated hypotheses. The SEM is a family of specialized statistical models to study relationships among multiple latent variables simultaneously. It establishes complex causal relationships where there is a series of dependent – independent, moderating and mediating relationships. SEM using AMOS / Smart PLS is one of the most widely used techniques to evaluate complex research models in business research besides research in psychology, healthcare, and many other social science disciplines.

Participant Benefits

The program is directly useful for those who have a set of data and ready research framework by providing them hands-on experience in advanced quantitative research and reporting. The aim is to learn by doing rather than listening. The program assumes that the participants are aware of the basics of statistics such as mean, standard deviation, variance, correlation and regression and the use of SPSS (if not, there will be a bridging session). The participants are encouraged to bring their laptop and be ready with the set of data and research frameworks.
